The FIRST Team 34 – The Rockets is a team stationed at the Limestone Career Technical Center. We were started in 1996 and incorporated the Tech School in 2005. We are compromised of high school students from all over Limestone County and Athens City school systems that collectively attend the LCCTC. Thanks to the addition of many programs at the Career Tech Center, our robotics team members have been able to get additional training and resources. The school now gives students access to 3D printers in several classes, laser engravers, CNC machines, and a host of other high tech tools and equipment. Additionally, the Tech School offers multiple courses in 3D and 2D modeling and design, precision machining, engineering, robotics, programming in JAVA, Python, and C++, as well as training in animation and video game design.
